Frequently Asked Questions About Our Fabrics

Can I order samples of fabrics or wallpapers?

Yes, we highly recommend seeing the fabric in person before placing your order. Samples are charged at £1.20 each, with delivery taking approximately 3–8 working days. When you order samples, you will receive a Discount Code to redeem the cost against your next order (valid for 3 months).

How long will my fabric or wallpaper take to arrive?

Standard UK delivery is usually within 3–5 working days, provided the items are in stock. Please note that certain brands like Casamance, Casadeco, Camengo, and Caselio are shipped from France, with a delivery time of approximately 10–15 working days. We recommend thoroughly checking the fabric before it is used or cut.

Can I order fabric only from you?

For most brands, yes. You can simply find your fabric, add it to your cart, and purchase by the metre (minimum order is 1 metre, with 10cm increments thereafter). However, some brands—such as Romo, Villa Nova, Colefax & Fowler, and Jane Churchill—are available as made to measure curtains or blinds products only.

How can I find out if a fabric is suitable for upholstery?

Manufacturer intended uses are listed in the product details. If you require fabric for upholstery, please contact us to discuss Fire Retardancy (FR) requirements. Most fabrics are supplied non-FR as standard but can often be treated for an additional charge.

What does a "half-drop" pattern repeat mean?

A half-drop means the design is set down by half rather than being a straight match across the width of the fabric. This is an important factor when calculating the quantity needed for pattern matching in bespoke curtains or blinds. We suggest ordering a sample and consulting your maker if you are unsure.

Can you tell me how much fabric I need?

While our made to measure quotation tool provides a reliable guide for the quantity our workroom would require, we always recommend that you confirm the final meterage with your specific curtain maker or upholsterer before purchasing "fabric only" orders.
