Chess Design – Creative British Fabrics & Bespoke Home Furnishings

Introduce imaginative British style and rich textural warmth into your home with Chess Design. With over 25 years of textile excellence, Chess Design is celebrated across the UK for its distinctive creative patterns, tactile woven jacquards, and charming prints. Our curated brand hub provides direct access to authentic Chess Design fabrics, allowing you to bring characterful embroideries, retro florals, and geometric weaves into your interior with tailored elegance.

Eclectic Prints, Retro Florals & Interior Styling

Chess Design collections bring welcoming personality to country cottages, creative townhouses, and family living spaces. From charming woodland wildlife and retro Scandinavian botanicals to geometric jacquards and plush chenille plains, these fabrics add texture to upholstered dining chairs, statement footstools, headboards, and floor-length drapery. The brand’s versatile colour palette features mustard ochres, denim blues, mossy forest greens, and burnt oranges, grounded by warm oat and stone neutrals.

British Textile Craftsmanship, Tailored Drapery & Upholstery

Engineered to stringent UK quality standards, Chess Design fabrics balance decorative flair with practical resilience. Many of their upholstery weaves, chenilles, and jacquards boast Martindale rub counts exceeding 20,000 to 40,000 rubs, making them well-suited for domestic upholstery, loose covers, and cushions.

For luxurious window treatments, our artisan workrooms transform these textiles into bespoke Chess made to measure curtains and tailored Chess made to measure roman blinds. The supple handle of these fabrics ensures fluid pleats that hang gracefully when paired with specialist curtain linings for added body and UV protection. Pattern repeats are clearly specified for seamless joinery.
