Which finish should I choose: Eggshell, or Emulsion?

The right finish depends on the area and surface. Emulsion is the most popular choice and suitable for internal walls and ceilings; ideal for living spaces and bedrooms. Available in a Matt look with certain colours for modern décor. Eggshell is ideal for woodwork and metals (primed) and even outdoor use. High-traffic areas like kitchens and bathrooms where the paint is more durable, wipeable, and offer a slight sheen that reflects light beautifully.

How do I match my paint to my curtains and wallpaper?

We recommend choosing your bespoke curtains or wallpaper first, as it is easier to match a paint colour to a fabric than vice versa. Look for the "undertone" in your fabric—is it a warm, yellow-based cream or a cool, blue-based grey? Selecting a paint with the same undertone ensures a cohesive, designer look throughout the space.

How many coats of paint will I need?

For the best depth of colour and durability, we always recommend two coats. While our designer paints have high opacity, a second coat ensures an even finish and true colour representation, especially when covering a darker existing colour. It is best practice to prime your walls as well to start with an even base.

Can I order paint samples?

Yes. We highly recommend ordering a Sample Pot before committing to a full tin. This allows you to see how the colour changes in different lighting conditions throughout the day alongside your custom curtains. Colour cards are also available to see the full range of each brand.

How much paint do I need to order?

The amount of paint is subject to the size of the room and the paint finish. Typically you would require more Emulsion than Eggshell for the same size room. Approximately 12 square metres per litre depending on the nature and porosity of the surface. Please get in touch with our sales team or consult a professional decorator for more information.

How long does delivery take?

Paints are mixed to order therefore usually take 3–5 working days for a standard UK address. Due to the nature of the product, paint is shipped securely to ensure it arrives in perfect condition, ready for your project.

Should I use a brush or roller?

Always stir the paint well before use and apply by brush, roller or paint pad. When using a roller we recommend a medium pile synthetic type and ensure it is loaded evenly. When using a brush it is best practice to apply liberally and evenly. Try to avoid overspreading if possible. Replace the lid firmly to protect for future touch-ups.
