Roller Blind Measurements

IMPORTANT - Always use a metal tape to take your measurements rather than a fabric or plastic tape, which may stretch and result in inaccurate measurements.

It will be necessary to fit the blind outside the recess if:

• The recess is less than 7.5cm [3"] deep (to ensure the blind clears the handles)
• The window is not straight ie. The width or height varies by more than 2.5cm [1"] (to avoid too much light seeping through)
• The window opens inwards

To be sure of the best possible fit, take time to measure your window carefully.

MEASURING THE WIDTH

Measure the width of your window recess from wall to wall. Take measurements at three different points just in case your window is not square and provide the smallest measurement. This measurement is called 'Inside Recess' (See fig. 1). A small deduction (0.5cm) for clearance will be taken off the width by us from your supplied measurements to ensure your blind can operate smoothly and fits within the recess.

Please also be aware the cloth size will be slightly narrower on the tube, this is industry stantdard. For recess sizes we make a 5mm deduction to the width.

MEASURING THE DROP

Measure the height of your window recess from top to sill and we will add any additional amount of cloth required to ensure the tube is covered. Take measurements at three different points just in case your window is not square and provide down the smallest measurement.

To be sure of the best possible fit, take time to measure your window carefully.

MEASURING THE WIDTH

Measure the width that you would like your roller blind. This measurement is called 'Outside Recess' (See fig. 2). We suggest that the blind extends approx. 10cm at either side and above and below the recess.

MEASURING THE DROP

Measure the length that you would like your roller blind and we will add an additional 30cm to ensure the tube is covered. Your blind will be made to your given sizes.

IMPORTANT - It's important that you carefully measure your windows to ensure your roller blinds fit correctly. If you are in any doubt, please be sure to check again.
